Hungary, China sign nuclear agreement
Hungary and China signed a declaration of intent yesterday to cooperate in education and research and development in the field of nuclear energy in Budapest, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.
Hungaryʼs National Development Minister Miklós Seszták and the head of Chinaʼs National Energy Administration Nur Bekri signed the agreement.
The Hungarian minister said that Hungary welcomes Chinaʼs actions in the field of nuclear energy, actions which could contribute to a reduction in carbon emissions. The news agency noted that Hungary signed a similar agreement with Vietnam in the autumn of 2013.
