Fitch Ratings has affirmed K+H Bank's long-term issuer default rating at BBB+ with a negative outlook, the rating agency said on Friday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Fitch pointed to Belgian owner KBC's "high propensity" to support its Hungarian subsidiary, the country's third-biggest lender by assets.

"The bank's business model has been largely resilient to various shocks through the economic cycles and is underpinned by its established franchise that allows the bank to attract better-quality customers," Fitch said.

"Its strength lies also in a diversified business mix providing sustainable earnings streams," it added.
