European Commission to reimburse €260 mln to Romania

Payments for the Regional Operational Program 2007-2013 (ROP) will be reimbursed to Romania, according to the country’s Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration (MRDPA), which received the official information from the European Commission. Practically, EC will reimburse Romania funds in amount of €260 million, ($338 million) for payments made by the Romanian state for ROP beneficiaries, local media reported. Romania was in a period of suspension, from October 2010 until now. The decision was taken as a result of the adjustment measures for the program management system applied at the level of the MRDPA and other Romanian institutions, it said.
