Hungary Gas Consumption Falls 15% in 2022

Gas consumption in Hungary fell 14.9% to 9.41 bln cubic meters last year, an annual report compiled by the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH) and gas TSO FGSZ Földgázszállitó shows.

Gas consumption fell for the first year since 2015 as prices rose amid the energy crisis, the report noted.

Household gas consumption declined 14.2% to 3.46 billion cubic meters.

Industrial consumers used 15.3% less gas.
