Central Europe to go against tax fraud
Six Central European countries – the V4 group of Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia, as well as Germany and Austria – agreed to strenghten their cooperation in fighting tax fraud at a meeting of ministers in Prague yesterday.
Representing Hungary at the Prague meeting, National Economy minister Mihály Varga said that meeting also dealt with other subjects including reverse VAT with a view to widening its use in Europe. Talking about the sanctions against Russia, the group reportedly agreed on the need for further European cooperation while keeping in mind that sanctions can not solve a political problem, Varga said.
