Almost 300 register for anti-brain-drain program

Hungaryʼs National Economy Ministry has received 282 applications for participation in a program it launched a week ago to lure young Hungarians working abroad back home, where their skills are needed, Hungarian news agency MTI reported today.

The ministry said today in a statement that it is accepting an unlimited number of registrations but will select 50 Hungarians who will be offered jobs and support in relocating.

The National Economy Ministry last week launched a program to entice young Hungarians working abroad to return home as a means of combatting the brain drain in Hungary. In the first round, the program received HUF 100 mln in funding.
