The weather of the past few weeks has had a favorable effect on the development of field plants, the soil is sufficiently moist, and now the crops are waiting for the heat, the National Meteorological Service wrote in its agrometeorological analysis, according to profitline.hu.

In the past week, the weather was rainy and 1-3 degrees Celsius cooler than usual.

On days and in places with more permanent precipitation, maximums below 25ºC (77ºF) were measured.

In the last 10 days, typically between 25 and 70 millimeters of rain fell; less was measured only in some drier spots of the Great Plain, and there are places where more than 100 millimeters fell and flash floods formed, mainly in mountain streams.

In most parts of the country, the 30-day precipitation amount exceeded the long-term average, but there is still a deficit in the east.
