Cropland Prices in Hungary Reach HUF 1.9 mln/hectare

Cropland prices in Hungary averaged HUF 1.9 million per hectare last year, climbing from HUF 1.7 mln in 2020, data compiled by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.

The median price of cropland was as high as HUF 2.3 mln/hectare in Békés County and as low as HUF 1.1 mln/hectare in Nógrád County.

Cropland rents averaged HUF 72,700/hectare nationwide last year, increasing from HUF 64,400/hectare in 2020.

Cropland rents topped out at HUF 98,200/hectare in Hajdú-Bihar County but were as low as HUF 43,300/hectare in Nógrád County.
