Hungary Broadband Coverage Rate Over EU Avg

The percentage of households in Hungary with high-speed internet access stood close to 79% last year, over the 70% average rate for the European Union as a whole, state news wire MTI reports, citing data compiled by Eurostat.

The high-speed internet coverage rate in Hungary was over the 53% rate in the Czech Republic, the 70% rate in Poland, and the 67% rate in Slovakia.

The broadband access rate in low-settled areas in Hungary reached 38% last year, also over the EU average of 37%.
