Continest Focuses on Product Development

Innovation

Continest, which makes foldable containers that can be used as temporary accommodations, offices, or first aid stations, doesn't plan "significant" CAPEX this year but will continue to focus on product development, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Continest told MTI it planned to develop further and promote its Container Kitchen and was working on an upscale modular system of containers for events. Markets for Continest's containers are "basically stable", but higher interest rates and inflation has posed a challenge for sales, the company added.

Continest can turn out 2,000 containers a year at its 10,000 sqm plant in Székesfehérvár.

Exports, to markets in the United Kingdom, Scandinavia and North America, generate over 80% of the company's revenue.

Continest had net sales revenue of HUF 3.7 bln in 2022, public records show.
