T-Systems, Nádor launch ticket sales system

T-Systems Magyarország, the Hungarian unit of the German global IT services and consulting company T-Systems, and Nádor Rendszerház, Hungarian IT services and solutions company, jointly won tenders to supply equipment for a new ticket sales system to be introduced on the passenger trains of state-owned Hungarian railways MÁV by the middle of 2015, Hungarian daily Népszabadság reported today.

T-Systems is expected to deliver 1,620 handheld computers worth of HUF 705 mln that would be used by ticket controllers, while Nádor Rendszerház is expected to deliver the same number of printers for HUF 250 mln. Without naming the supplier, the daily stated that some parts of the software are currently being tested while other parts are in the developmental phase.
