Sales of OTC slimming products up 6%

Retail sales of over-the-counter slimming products rose 6% to about HUF 2.2 bln in the twelve months to June, market researcher Nielsen informed Hungarian news agency MTI today.

Pharmacies accounted for 49% of total sales. Sales of slimming products in capsule or pill form accounted for 73% all sales, up from 65% a year earlier. Sales of products in flavoured powder or liquid form fell to 23% from 30%.
