Phase 1 of East Gate Pro Business Park Gets Breeam Certification

Sustainability

The first halls of Wing’s East Gate Pro Business Park development, completed in the fall of 2022, have received a "Very Good" rating in the Breeam New Construction sustainability certification scheme, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

Nine categories are assessed in the scheme, and the features that contributed to the rating of the halls included energy- and water-efficient management and high-quality thermal insulation.

East Gate Pro is the second phase of the highly popular East Gate Business Park project offering modern and customizable warehousing solutions in Fót, at the junction of motorways M0 and M3, a few minutes from Megyeri Bridge.

"In recent years we have clearly seen that sustainability and the eco-friendly and high-quality development and operation of the buildings are priorities for tenants. Naturally, we strive to meet these expectations with our developments, and the fact that the first phase of East Gate PRO Business Park, which already has green certification, has a 100% occupancy rate shows that we are on the right track," said Zsófia Korda, chief sales officer of Wing’s corporate sales relations and business development.

"We will be completing hall A2 of the next phase in late summer – this is a speculative development, and, again, we have the flexibility to manage tenant needs," she added.

Wing has been constructing its major developments with a commitment to sustainability for more than 10 years now, the company tells the Budapest Business Journal. Also, the buildings it completed in the past are continuously undergoing modernization, as Wing's midterm goal is to achieve a green certification across its whole industrial portfolio.

The aforementioned industrial property portfolio of nearly 300,000 sqm has an occupancy rate of almost 100%. With 240,000 sqm of completed halls and an additional 50,000 sqm of development potential in East Gate, East Gate Pro, and Login Business Parks, Wing is a key player in the northern part of Budapest. The group is also present in South Pest, with Airport City Business Park, near Ferenc Liszt International Airport.
