Market Group Switching to Sustainable Operations Within 3 Years

Sustainability

The Market Group will switch to sustainable corporate operations within three years, the construction industry player said in its sustainability report, according to profitline.hu.

This will reduce its direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions by 30% within two years compared to 2019, according to the nearly 11 member companies.

Two years ago, the Market Group was the first in the industry to decide that the environmental, economic, and social principles of sustainability in the strategy have priority in decision-making as well as in the operational day-to-day work, Sándor Scheer, CEO of Market Építő Zrt. highlighted in the announcement.

He added that, in accordance with this direction and in response to market conditions, it decided to establish stone wool thermal insulation factories operating on a sustainable method last year.
