Magyar Posta has raised its number of parcel lockers to 450, the state-owned postal company said on Monday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The inauguration of a parcel locker in Budapest's District II completed an expansion phase Magyar Posta launched last summer.

Magyar Posta earlier put the cost of the parcel locker expansion "in the billions" of forints.

Magyar Posta noted that online sales have risen close to 20% in the past four years, while the share of deliveries to parcel lockers has climbed.
