Application Period for Logistics Park Designation Starts

Logistics

The Economic Development Ministry announced the start of the application period for the designation of logistics parks on Thursday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The government said in the spring that it would require designation for logistics parks to continue operating after 2025.

Logistics parks that operate on an area of at least three hectares and have 3,000 sqm of warehouse space must apply for designation as intermodal, regional, or local logistics parks by December 31, 2024. The designation is part of a unified logistics park system the government is rolling out to boost competitiveness.

Applications for designation will be weighed by the Science and Innovation, Technology, Industrial, and Logistics Park Council.

The council will make recommendations to the minister in charge of industry who will issue the designations.
