Nolato completes €4 mln expansion in Hungary

Swedish medical devices producer Nolato completed a €4.1 bln expansion at its Hungarian plant located in Mosonmagyaróvár, northwest Hungary, company officials announced today.

Unit managing director Norbert Meleg said production area received the expansion, reaching approximately 9,000 sqm as compared to the previous 3,000 sqm.

Meleg said the investment was financed entirely with internal funds, 40% of the costs being spent on building the production hall and 60% on equipment. The investment is expected to raise headcount by 50-80 from 500 by 2016.

The new production unit will produce paper and soap dispensers. The unit had revenue of €55.4 mln in 2013.
