Hungarian navigation software developer NNG, which makes the iGO navigation application, will open a development centre in Szeged this fall, chairman David Wiernik announced yesterday, according to regional news portal delmagyar.hu.

NNG will hire 200 people, mainly programmers, to staff the centre, Wiernik said. He said 50 people would staff the centre when it opens in November, but the headcount would rise gradually.

NNG started focusing its business on navigation solutions in 2008 and now seven of the world's top ten carmakers use its products. NNG had an after-tax profit of HUF 4.8 bln on revenue of HUF 16.9 bln last year, public records show. The company employs almost 600 people.
