The preliminary hearing of MOL Chariman-CEO Zsolt Hernádi in Zagreb was postponed to December 8 as Croatia’s anti-graft agency (USKOK) reportedly handed in new evidence regarding Hernádi's corruption case, Hungarian news portal origo.hu reported today.

"The indictment against Hernádi has been confirmed and he will be tried in absentia," international news agency Reuters cited Kresimir Devcic, the  Zagreb county court's spokesman. Hernádi is charged with bribing the former Croatian President Ivo Sanander with €10 million for letting Hungarian oil and gas company MOL acquire a majority stake in its peer INA. Hernádi rejected the accusation, while Ivo Sanander has been sentenced to ten years for other reasons.
