Magyar Posta strengthens position on express, package delivery market

Hungarian state-owned postal company Magyar Posta yesterday said it was able to strengthen its position in the local express and package delivery business to take more than 30% of market share. 

Magyar Posta added that it hopes to remain market leader with the expansion of e-commerce. The company's circle of partners who sell online grew by almost 20% last year, and the number of online orders it delivered rose nearly 60%. News agency MTI noted that Magyar Posta has 2,700 pickup and drop-off points around the country.
