Kayser Automotive invests HUF 700 mln

Kayser Automotive Hungária, the Hungarian unit of an German plastic car parts manufacturer, says it wound up a HUF 700 mln investment at its plant in Komárom, northern Hungary, with the addition of a 3,200 sqm production hall. The investment was reportedly supported with a grant of HUF 108 mln.

Due to the expansion, the company is expecting to raise headcount by 66, for a total of 388 employees, including temporary workers, managing director Ivo Nemes told Hungarian news agency MTI.

The biggest partners of the company are Mercedes, Volkswagen group, BMW and DAF. Kayser Hungaria was formed as a subsidiary of A. Kayser Automotive Systems GmbH in 2003.

Last year, the plant had sales revenue of more than HUF 10 bln, with 80% coming from exports, an increase over the previous year’s HUF 6.4 bln.
