Lithuania Industrial Output Falls Further in September

Industrial production in Lithuania dropped 2.6% year-on-year in September, easing from a downwardly revised 7% fall in the previous month, the Vilnius-based Statistics Lithuania (LS) said in a statement.

It was the softest contraction since October 2022, as output declined less for manufacturing (-0.2% vs -3.2% in August), electricity, gas, steam supply & air conditioning (-30.8% vs -45.9%), and water supply, waste water treatment, waste management & regeneration (-7.8% vs -8.3%).

Meanwhile, output further slipped for mining & quarrying (-11.7% vs -7%).

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production increased 0.5% in September, decelerating from an upwardly revised 4.4% growth in the previous month.
