CATL Announces Another Investment in Debrecen

Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) is setting up a plant for the storage and assembly of devices suitable for green energy storage in a facility in Debrecen (225 km east of Budapest), which it is renting from the Inpark subsidiary.
According to business daily Világgazdaság, the industrial/logistics hall, which will be completed by September 2024, will use advanced industrial automation systems, thus guaranteeing even higher safety at work.
The 60,000 sqm plant will mainly be used for storage and, to a small extent, for assembly.
CATL promises there will be no harmful emissions in the new factory, and the water and energy requirements of the work processes will be minimal.
