Wigo User Numbers Climb Over 100,000

User numbers of Wigo, the carsharing service of Wallis Autómegosztó, rose almost 30% to more than 100,000 last year, the company said on Monday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Wigo users rode 8 million kilometers in 2023, about the same distance as in 2022. The average trip was 15 km, completed in an average of 52 minutes.
The company's fleet is around 500 vehicles with an average age of just over a year.
Márk Koralewsky, who heads Wigo, said a single Wigo car could replace 7-10 individually-owned vehicles in the capital, cutting back on traffic and pollution and reducing the parking problem.
The company's 100 km radius is being expanded to satellite settlements such as Budakalász, Budaörs, Dunakeszi, and Érd, he added.
