The number of vehicles with green license plates in Hungary reached a peak in March, the Ministry of Energy Affairs announced on its Facebook page.

The spectacular revival is related to the launch of the company e-car purchase support program at the beginning of February.

According to the announcement, the total stock equipped with the light green official number plates increased by 2,920 units in March, significantly exceeding the previous peak of 2,594 units registered in February this year.

Likewise, March's growth in purely electric vehicles was unprecedented, surpassing the monthly level of 2,000 for the first time. The 2,108 newly commissioned vehicles are a huge improvement even compared to the previous month's record of 1,704.
