Indiaʼs Motherson Sumi Systems to build plant in Hungary
Indian automotive industry supplier Motherson Sumi Systems (MSSL) announced last week that it will build a plant in Hungary to fill a large order placed by German carmaker Daimler, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.
The order, worth approximately €2.2 bln over its lifetime, is expected to begin in 2018, MSSL said. MSSL’s plant will be built near Daimlerʼs base in Kecskemét, central Hungary, along with another in the United States.
"Preparatory work for the establishment of the two new plants has already begun," chairman Vivek Chaand Sehgal said in a company statement.
