Hungarian drywall plant sees revenue of HUF 6.5 bln in 2014

The Hungarian plant of French drywall company Saint-Gobain Group saw a revenue of HUF 6.5 bln last year, Attila Piros, the managing director of local unit Rigips, said yesterday.

In 2008, Saint-Gobain opened Hungaryʼs first drywall plant with an investment of €30 mln. Since 2012, Rigips has been able to boost capacity at the plant. Last year, it used more than half of its capacity.

Saint-Gobainʼs overall revenue in Hungary reached HUF 25 bln in 2013, Hungarian news agency MTI noted, adding that it employs almost 1,000 people in the Hungary.
