Hotel in Szarvas Hungary undergoes HUF 370 mln expansion

The Liget Wellness and Conference Hotel located in Szarvas in southeastern Hungary, will expand its premises with a spa and recreation wing to the tune of HUF 370 mln, hotel director Tamás Bogdán told state news agency MTI. 

Of the total investment, HUF 210 mln is being provided by the European Union in the form of a grant. The expansion is intended to raise the number of annual guest nights from 16,000 to 18,300 and raise occupancy rates from 50% to 60%. Targeted revenues for this year are set at HUF 330 mln, up from the HUF 290 mln reached in 2014, Bogdán added.
