Gróf és Társa develops hydropower turbines

Hungarian engineering company Gróf és Társa is developing turbines that can be used in hydroelectric power plants on smaller rivers as part of a HUF 304 mln project, managing director Zsolt Gróf told Hungarian news agency MTI yesterday.

Gróf és Társa, together with Kőrös-Consult Tervező és Szolgáltató and Magyar Fejlesztési Intézet Nonprofit, won a HUF 235 mln EU and state grant for the project. The project is expected wind up at the end of 2015, with the production of two prototypes. Gróf és Társa had revenue of HUF 380 mln last year. The company employs 24 people.
