Budapest's Ferihegy International Airport has been upgraded to the “clear” security category following a review by European Union and Hungarian airport security specialists.

The airport was downgraded to the “unclear” security category after objects that should have been screened out passed through security checks in an EU review, government commission for air travel Attila Márton said in July. The review of new compliance with a new EU security directive in force from April 28 found almost a dozen problem points, he said. (MTI – Econews)
