Competition office fines medical device distributor
Hungaryʼs Competition Office (GVH) fined Jugis 2007 Kereskedelmi és Szolgáltató HUF 6.1 mln on charges of misleading advertising, the competition office said today.
GVH claims that Jugis falsely attributed beneficial therapeutic or preventive effects to its various magnetic resonance devices from the BNM product line in its advertisements between May 2013 and April 2014. Hungarian news agency MTI said that Jugis attributed diagnostic functions to the Magnetspace magnetic body analyzer without any substatiation.
