Tribe Hotel Budapest Stadium Recognized at LIV Hospitality Design Awards

Hotels

The largest hotel ever developed by Wing has received international recognition: the interior design of Tribe Budapest Stadium Hotel, envisioned by AKSL arhitekti, has been awarded in three categories at LIV Hospitality Design Awards, which recognizes excellence in the hospitality industry, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

The hotel was awarded in the categories Hotels – Midscale & Lifestyle, Hotels – Best Jury’s Pick, and Brand New. Hungary’s first Tribe hotel offers a wide range of services and 166 rooms in the Liberty Building in Budapest, next to Népliget.

LIV Hospitality Design Awards has been honoring outstanding players in the hospitality industry since 2020, with the mission to recognize the quality and diversity of architectural and interior design projects that have defined the sector worldwide.

“Wing’s hotel portfolio has grown dynamically in recent years, with leading international hotel chains such as Accor, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and B&B Hotels committing themselves to our developments. Since their opening in December last year, Tribe and ibis Budapest Stadium have been popular with travelers, and the recently won awards clearly confirm that the hotel is excellently located and provides an outstanding guest experience in terms of the services offered, as reflected in the online reviews," says Ernő Takács, Deputy CEO of Wing, responsible for retail and hotel portfolio.

"We are very proud that our developments are appreciated and recognized by the public and the international professional world alike. However, we do not stop there: in May, we’re opening Cloud IX, Budapest’s newest extravagant rooftop bar in the building. In addition, the next TRIBE hotel is currently under construction at Budapest Ferenc Liszt Airport, also as part of a WING’s development, which will open another hotel with direct terminal access in 2025,” he said.

Liberty is a mixed-use development representing an international class, featuring a dual-branded hotel of the highest quality. Located halfway between Ferenc Liszt International Airport and the city center, Budapest Stadium Hotel, which includes the Tribe and ibis brands, is located in Ferencváros, in close proximity of Groupama Arena, MVM Dome, National Athletics Center, Palace of Arts and the National Theater, and serves those looking for three- and four-star accommodation.

The construction of Liberty as an energy-efficient green real estate was also supported by non-refundable public funds invested as part of the real estate fund sub-program of the Baross Gábor Capital Program. The real estate funds that won the Capital Program tendering process were co-invested by the Hungarian Development Bank, thus contributing to increasing investment activity, improving energy efficiency, and implementing green development projects.
