Three football players on the Greek national team were injured in a car accident that caused a fatality early yesterday when traveling to Budapest Airport to depart to Italy where they play in clubs. Vangelis Moras and Panajotis Tahcidis, players for Verona, and Jannis Fetfacidis of Chievo were traveling by a taxi that crashed into another car.

The driver of that car was killed in the accident, Hungarian news agency MTI reported. None of the three footballers were injured seriously, though Fetfacidis was still being monitored in the hospital last night, according to reports. The Greek national team played against the Hungarian national team on Sunday evening, ending the match in a draw of 0-0.
