Producer prices for eggs could rise 20%

Food

Due to the half-year rise in the price of feed, an increase in the producer price of eggs of about 20% is justified, according to the Hungarian Egg Association, writes profitline.hu.

According to the organization, the current price of the egg roughly covers the cost.

The rise in feed prices affects all livestock keepers, and its effects cannot be offset in the long term. At the same time, it was stressed that egg producers can only set the transfer price, and that store prices are set by traders.
