Hungarian company opens pellet plant in Ukraine

Hungary's Skála-Energy on Thursday inaugurated a 40 million Ukrainian hryvnia (€3.7 million) pellet plant in the Ukrainian city of Tiachiv.

The plant, financed with Skála-Energy's own resources and a loan from the Hungarian Development Bank, can produce an annual 36,000 tons of environmentally-friendly pellets made from waste wood, said managing director Illés Jancsó.

The pellets will be exported to markets in Western Europe. (MTI-ECONEWS)
