Szijjártó: Deals Reached on HUF 35 bln of Chinese Investments

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said agreements were reached with Chinese companies on investments worth a combined HUF 35 billion at talks in Tianjin this week, according to origo.hu.

A Chinese drink packaging manufacturer will invest HUF 28 bln in the east of Hungary, creating around 300 jobs, Szijjártó said.

A Chinese automotive industry supplier that has won a contract to supply instrument panels to BMW will undertake a HUF 7 bln investment in the west of the country, creating about 200 jobs, he added.

Chinese companies are satisfied with the conditions for investing and operating in Hungary and appreciate the lowest corporate tax rate in Europe and the well-trained labor force, Szijjártó said.
