Hungarians Evacuated From Sudan

Hungarians are being evacuated from Sudan amid a civil war in the country, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said over the weekend, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

On Saturday, Szijjártó said 14 Hungarians on a diving holiday were evacuated from the country. On Sunday, he said efforts were underway to evacuate a further 15 Hungarian nationals.

At a press conference on Monday, Szijjártó said five more Hungarians had been evacuated from Sudan since Sunday.

Contact has been established with all Hungarian nationals in the country, he added.
