Hungary's Rivers' Yields Dropped Over Past Decade

The water yields of Hungary's rivers show a decreasing trend in the last 10 years, compared to the previous 30 years, the National Chamber of Agricultural Economics (NAK) said.
In a statement on the occasion of World Water Day last Friday, the chamber noted that the flow of the Danube dropped by approximately 10%.
Meanwhile, the drop in the case of Tisza was closer to 30%.
The lack of surface water consumes underground water reserves. Mitigating the harmful effects of these processes is of primary economic and social interest, NAK added.
