Estonian Inflation Falls Further in March

The annual inflation rate in Estonia fell to 3.9% in March, easing from 4.2% in the previous month, data from the Tallinn-based Statistics Estonia (SE) on Friday show.

It was the lowest inflation rate since June 2021. Cost for food & non-alcoholic beverages went up by 1.1%, while prices for household goods added 1.9% and prices for hotels, cafes & restaurants grew by 2.8%.

Additionally, prices for clothing & footwear rose 3.6%, and the same for recreation & leisure gained 4.4%.

Transport cost advanced 2.6%, while prices for health and communication increased 9.8% and 10.5%, respectively.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.4% in March, after showing no growth in the prior month.
