Serbia's Q1 trade gap more than doubles

Serbia's foreign trade deficit widened by 115% year-on-year in the first three months of 2022, reaching USD 3.058 billion (EUR 2.892 billion), the statistics office said on Friday.

The exports increased by 20% to USD 6.986 billion, while imports went up by 38% to USD 10.044 billion.

In March alone, Serbia's exports increased by 19% on the year to USD 2.697 billion, while imports added 32% to USD 3.781 billion, resulting in a USD 1.084 billion deficit.
