The turnover of vegetable products on the Ukrainian-Hungarian railway border around Záhony (300 km northeast of Budapest) has increased by eight and a half times compared to January, writes business daily Világgazdaság.

On the Ukrainian side, the number of grain transport wagons waiting to cross the Hungarian border has fallen from more than 4,500 to less than 3,000.

The goal is to reduce further congestion caused by various capacity constraints with the Ukrainian partners.

On his Facebook page, Secretary of State for Transport Dávid Vitézy, at the Ministry of Technology and Industry, wrote that a HUF 12.4 billion program has been developed for the qualitative and quantitative expansion of the district's track network, which Minister of Technology and Industry László Palkovics will present to the government shortly.
