Deficit on External Trade in Goods at EUR 165 mln in January

Hungary's external trade in goods deficit amounted to EUR 165 million in January 2023, according to data published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
The value of exports in terms stood at EUR 12.006 billion and that of imports at EUR 12.171 bln.
In EUR terms, the value of exports was 15% and that of imports 14% higher in January 2023 than in the same period of the previous year.
The balance of the external trade in goods improved by EUR 78 million compared to January 2022.
The share of EU Member States was 78% in exports and 67% in imports.
Compared to December 2022, the level of export in goods increased by 7.3% and that of import grew by 7.2%.
