Farmgate Prices Edge Lower
Farmgate prices in Hungary fell 1.1% year-on-year in May, dropping for the second month in a row, after climbing for years, data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.
Crop prices fell 9.3pc as grain prices declined 11.1% and oilseed prices plunged 38.9%.
The price of livestock and animal products rose 19.9% as prices for live animals increased 25.3% and animal product prices grew 9.2%.
