AI Awareness High in Hungary, While Usage Remains Low

A significant majority of Hungarians (91%) have heard of artificial intelligence, but only 12% have used a program based on language models, such as ChatGPT, according to FaceKom's nationwide representative research, writes profitline.hu.
Based on the study's results, it was also revealed that the respondents are afraid of developing artificial intelligence in several areas.
Most (72%) agreed that AI could use personal data, raising data protection and privacy concerns. Some 65% of respondents also agreed that artificial intelligence could replace certain jobs, and people could lose their workplaces because of it.
According to 64% of those surveyed, the new technology also poses risks in regulation, as it is unclear who bears the responsibility for AI decisions, which raises legal concerns.
