Home Rental Rates in Hungary Climb 13% in July

Home rental rates in Hungary rose 13.2% year-on-year in July, slowing after a 13.7% increase in June, data compiled by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) from listings site Ingatlan.com show.

Rental rates in the capital increased by 13.7%.

In a month-on-month comparison, home rental rates climbed 1.9% both for the whole country and Budapest.

The monthly rental rate for an apartment in the capital averaged HUF 221,000 in the first half of the year.

A home in a large city in the west of the country could be rented for HUF 156,000/month.
