Hungarians Hesitant About Renovation Decisions

The Ikea Life at Home 2022 consumer survey revealed that Hungarians are cautious for the time being, and are now waiting to make major decisions, such as home renovations, until they feel the economic conditions are more stable again, according to profitline.hu.

Some four out of five people regularly feel frustrated with their home, with most people annoyed because they do not know how to carry out renovations or repairs, there is no place for their things, or they have to do household work.

Renovations, or the lack of them, may be an additional problem for domestic respondents, who are more concerned about the economic situation than the world average.

More than half of the respondents (52% compared to the world average of 35%) consider it conceivable that the cost of living will rise significantly in the future, and negatively affect their plans for renovating their homes.
