MÁV Aims for Hydrogen-powered Trains, Buses Within 3 Years

István Lepsényi, the chairman of Hungarian State Railways (MÁV), aims to put hydrogen-powered trains and buses into service within three years, Minister of Construction and Transport János Lázár said at an international conference organized by the Hungarian Hydrogen Technology Association last week.
According to the business daily Világgazdaság, Lázár noted that Lepsényi also headed the Hungarian Hydrogen Technology Association.
He said a 10-year, HUF 6.5 trillion development plan for the MÁV-Volán railway and bus group had been submitted to the government
