Freight Volume Down 13% in Q2

Freight volume in Hungary fell 13% year-on-year to 68.1 million tonnes in the second quarter, data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.

Freight delivered by road accounted for 69% of the total, rail cargo for 17% and pipeline volume for 12%. Waterway freight made up 2%.

Road freight volume fell 14% and rail freight volume was down 15%. Waterway freight dropped 31% and pipeline volume increased by 3%.
