Albania Retail Sales Growth Speeds up in Q2
Albania's retail sales increased by a real 5.8% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2023, accelerating from a 4.7% growth rate in the first quarter, figures from the Institute of Statistics (Instat) showed.
Retail trade, except automotive fuel, increased by 5.1% annually in Q2 (vs. 4.4% in Q1), while retail sales of motor fuel rose by 7.3% (vs. 5%).
On a quarterly comparison basis, retail sales increased by 1.3% in the April-June period, higher than the 0.9% growth rate in the previous quarter, according to data from the Tirana-based statistics agency.
