Used car sales in Hungary rose 8.1% year-on-year to 73,700 in October, listings site JoAutok.hu said on Wednesday, citing figures compiled by DataHouse.

JoAutok.hu CEO Bertalan Halász said it was "too early to speak about a trend turnaround", pointing to the impact of household incomes and the slow pace of declining interest rates on demand.

He said full-year sales could be "a few thousand" over last year's 825,000 record.

In January-October, used car sales slipped 1.6% to 689,900. The number of imported used car imports fell 18% to 89,300 during the period.
